Background: Staphylococcal food poisoning (SFP) is one of the most common food-borne diseases worldwide resulting from contamination by preformed S. aureus enterotoxins and milk considered to be a major source SFP. This study aimed at PCR based detection its enterotoxigenic genes in raw products. Methods: A total 300 samples products were collected randomly Aizawl district Mizoram subjected phenotypic genotypic (nuc gene) subsequent namely, sea, seb, sec sed isolates Result: proportion 30.67% found positive for species specific nuc gene 28.26%, 2.17%, 4.34% 5.43% strains genes, respectively.
